A Tennessee man has 17,700 hand sanitizers and nowhere to sell them because Amazon cracked down on price gouging.
Amazon, eBay, Walmart and other e-commerce platforms are trying to stop their sellers from making excessive profits from a public health crisis.
The fear of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) infecting us or our loved ones has left many people running to the store to stock up on hand sanitizer and many other essential items only to find many of them are already sold out (or extremely over-priced on some online websites) - usually online). Sadly, we all know what happens when demand far exceeds supply - the price is 'jacked up!' Yes, we can expect to start seeing huge price hikes for many essential products as well as many baby items... And there's absolutely nothing we as consumers can do about it. Kudos to some of the major eComm sites like Amazon and eBay who are able to do something about price gouging by some exploitative sellers. Where do you draw the line between a "good business opportunity" and "consumer exploitation?" .... But that's a topic for another blog!
To eliminate the hand sanitizer problem, here's how to make your own - it's just as effective for killing germs as the hand sanitizers you buy at the stores!
Please feel free to share these instructions with family, friends & co-workers... but share it while rubbing alcohol and ethanol is still available and reasonably priced. Here is the link that will take them directly to this page or you can use the social media sharing buttons found on this page.
