This is one blog that I cannot take full credit for. I stumbled upon this article while researching my next blog topic and immediately recognized it as a partial solution to a big problem many 'newbies' (and some oldies too) face. Of course, I know only those of you who are actually experiencing "low open rates" or who have a curiosity on the subject will read this blog but if you do read it please share. In the words of this old Chinese proverb "if you know something of value you have a moral obligation to share it with others." So once again, please read & share the suggestions below if you find them helpful or if you know someone who is struggling with low open rates.
Never underestimate the power of sharing!

What is a good OPEN RATE for the emails you send out?
So what is a good open rate?
" The truth is that there is no specific answer that can be given to this question, but the open rate offers very useful information nonetheless. Open and click rates vary widely from industry to industry, campaign to campaign, and case to case. Each campaign is like a fingerprint in that it is affected by a unique combination of factors.
That said, there is a point when low open rates become a problem. Repeatedly sending to subscribers that do not engage with your emails will cause direct harm to the deliverability of future messages that you send. If your messages have less than a 10% open rate 48 hours after being sent, you should review your existing practices.
Why have my open rates declined over time?
Open rates are explicitly indicative of the practices implemented by the email sender. While it is true that some subscribers will inevitably lose interest, or their email turns into a junk email, you have much more of an impact on engagement than these agents of time.
What can I do to improve my open rate?
When you truly master the art of Email Marketing (nurturing your list) you can expect an Open Rate of 40% and higher. Don't be misled by those who say "email marketing is dead" - that is simply not true! Has it changed over the last few years? Yes, absolutely. Are more and more people choosing not to open a higher percentage of their emails? It appears so. Are there now more channels for communication than ever before? Yes, there certainly are, All these things are very true. However, most businesses, marketers & sales professionals are taking the completely wrong approach when it comes to communicating with their leads/list. According to industry standards, an Open Rate of 20% or higher is consider good. However, some of you may be experiencing Open Rates as low as 1 or 2%,
If you really want to put your open rate problem to rest, try taking a deeper dive into Email Marketing and really master the art of "Copywriting." Do your due diligence and only learn from someone you resonate with or that has a proven track record. My personal recommendation is acquiring the necessary skills through the new "Traffic & Conversions Academy"- it offers virtual 1-on-1 training with a Master copywriter, traffic expert and marketing strategist (the Academy will be open to the public later this month - Jan 2020). I will add the link as soon as it becomes available for those who are interested. Check the space below around mid-January.
(the link will be added here).
Wishing yo much success in 2020 & beyond,
